Master Yi in Set 18 is a flexible carry, and the data shows several builds that work well. This guide uses Patch 18.4b statistics to show which items and artifacts have performed best on him, and where the numbers need caution.
Two terms are used throughout. Average placement means the mean finish across all games, so lower is better. Play rate is how often the item is chosen among Master Yi builds. Small sample sizes can inflate results, so each entry notes how many games stand behind the figures.
Best Master Yi Items and Artifacts (Patch 18.4b)
1. Hellfire Hatchet (Artifact)
Hellfire Hatchet has the best placement of any Master Yi artifact. Across 2,432 games he averaged 3.76 with it, with a 64.3% Top 4 rate and a 17.9% win rate (top #1 rate).

It is also picked rarely, at a 4.4% play rate. That is because artifacts depend on what the shop offers, not on what you choose to build. A separate Master Yi page shows the same pattern: 513 games, 3.78 average placement and a 63.2% Top 4 rate.
If it is available, take it. It also shows up in both reroll compositions listed further down.
2. Wit's End (Artifact)

Wit's End is the second-best artifact by sample-adjusted placement. It has a 4.00 average placement over 2,904 games, a 59.9% Top 4 rate and a 12.6% win rate.
Its play rate is only 5.3%, but the results are well above the baseline of the other items. It is a strong pick when the shop offers it.
3. Flickerblades (Artifact)
Flickerblades averages 4.17 placement across 1,943 games, with a 56.6% Top 4 rate and a 12.1% win rate. Its play rate is 3.5%.

It is a solid artifact, though behind Hellfire Hatchet and Wit's End in both placement and Top 4 rate.
4. Guinsoo's Rageblade
Guinsoo's Rageblade is the most-used item on Master Yi, with a 48.2% play rate over 26,000 games. Its average placement is 4.44, with a 51.7% Top 4 rate and a 9.7% win rate.

Those numbers are only average, but the sample is the largest in the data. A guide to the Adaptive version of Master Yi calls it the most important item for him. The Radiant Guinsoo's Rageblade does much better: 3.69 average placement and a 64.3% Top 4 rate over 129 games.
5. Brawler Emblem
The Brawler Emblem is the second most-used item, at 33.8% play rate over 19,000 games. It averages 4.33 placement with a 53.5% Top 4 rate and a 10.9% win rate.

It is more reliable than Guinsoo's Rageblade and more consistent than most other options, which is why it appears in both reroll compositions below.
6. Quicksilver
Quicksilver is one of the best non-artifact items. Across 8,100 games it averages 4.28 placement, with a 54.2% Top 4 rate and a 12.0% win rate. Its play rate is 14.8%.

The Radiant Quicksilver does better still, with a 3.82 average placement and a 66.7% Top 4 rate, though only over 33 games.
7. Rapid Firecannon (Artifact)
Rapid Firecannon averages 4.28 placement over 2,945 games. Its Top 4 rate is 53.6% and its win rate is 13.2%, the best of the artifacts listed here, though its play rate is 5.4%.

Its average placement is only moderate, but the high win rate suggests it can produce strong first-place finishes.
8. Edge of Night
Edge of Night is a common pick, with a 36.6% play rate over 20,000 games. It averages 4.43 placement, a 51.8% Top 4 rate and a 9.5% win rate.

It is reliable but not exceptional. The Radiant Edge of Night averages 4.22 placement and a 55.6% Top 4 rate over 63 games.
9. Titan's Resolve
Titan's Resolve has a 14.8% play rate over 8,100 games and averages 4.43 placement. Its Top 4 rate is 52.1% and its win rate is 9.1%.

The Radiant Titan's Resolve averages 4.34 placement with a 57.4% Top 4 rate over 47 games. It is playable, but it is not among the strongest options.
10. Giant Slayer
Giant Slayer averages 4.44 placement over 1,900 games, with a 52.3% Top 4 rate and a 10.5% win rate. Its play rate is 3.6%.

The Radiant Giant Slayer does better: 3.84 average placement and a 64.3% Top 4 rate over 56 games. It is worth considering when you have the Radiant version.
Honorable mention: Titanic Hydra (Artifact)
Titanic Hydra averages 4.19 placement over 853 games. The sample is small, but it ranks fourth among artifacts by sample-adjusted placement.

Reroll Builds with 3-Star Master Yi
Two Patch 18.4b reroll compositions use a three-star Master Yi with similar items:
- Vi reroll: Brawler Emblem, Hellfire Hatchet and Quicksilver. The composition averages 4.27 placement, with a 55.0% Top 4 rate and a 1.2% win share.
- Kobuko reroll: Brawler Emblem, Hellfire Hatchet and Wit's End. It averages 4.55 placement, with a 48.9% Top 4 rate and a 0.0% win share.
The Vi build looks better in this data. A guide for Patch 18.3b also describes Master Yi reroll as conditional, with several viable builds rather than one permanent best-in-slot set. The right choice depends on what you find.
Conclusion
On Patch 18.4b, the strongest Master Yi artifacts are Hellfire Hatchet and Wit's End, followed by Flickerblades. Among regular items, Quicksilver and Brawler Emblem have the best results, while Guinsoo's Rageblade is the most commonly used.
Treat the numbers as a guide. Artifacts depend on what you find, and Radiant items have small samples. Build around what the game gives you, and check the latest patch data before committing to a plan.
